If I were going to stamp money I'd be tempted to do "If found, please return to Traveling Em." But then the hippy in me would probably fight that and make me stamp something like "Keep this local, please." Actually, it's not a bad idea to create a website where people can log in and record where/when/on what they received and then used the money on. And then you could have a whole website devoted to tracking money and whether it stays local or not... Mickey will you please remind me of this idea later, because I'm bound to forget it and it seems like a pretty good idea. Heck we could even all do it starting one bill from our locations, labeling each bill with a different number but all the same url... What do you think?
Em- Ha! I like your return address idea. I can't top that. The money-tracking idea has already been done. I got a bill one time with a web address on it that tracked its use. Sorry. Good idea, though.
Allie- I'll go with Em's return address idea. But my address, not hers. Although an anonymous PO Box would probably be better.
Aaron- You kidding?! I spent that bitch. Not being quite sure what the statement was, my own statement was to support its right to be heard and so I passed it right along. Some little kid probably ended up with it and put it towards a gun from Wal-Mart.
I imagine that with every stamp, the guy yelled out "bang!" just because he was a powerful stamp owner. That is so cool and scary.
Oh, and for a while, I tracked all my dollar bills on wheresgeorge.com. I don't know if it's still around anymore. It was exciting for about 20 minutes.
We can already see that he owns a wig. It's in his picture. Unless that's a borrowed wig, but that's silly because I'm sure George could have afforded his own wig.
I would stamp "Worth 100 cents" on my dollar bill, if I were prone to such shenanigans.

Wow.
Has it inspired you to stamp your political beliefs on currency? What would you stamp?

Statement, schmatement*; that's one hilariously tricked out Washington. I hope you framed it.
* - But my guess would be "Gun owner, and I blew my last dollar on ammo."

Wow... that person is so serious about owning guns they had stamps made up proclaiming it. Because writing it on there is so much less authoritarian.

Maybe it's supposed to be a commentary on George Washington.
But something like "wears a wig" would be funnier, in that case.
I interpreted it as Chris did. Ol' GW probably owned several guns. And several wigs.
